Today DeWied is headquartered in San Antonio Texas and is one of the largest selectors of hog casings worldwide. From offices and warehouses in strategic locations DeWied supplies the products demanded by today’s high quality sausage producers worldwide. Natural hog casings are handled from the packing house to the end user under DeWied’s exacting standards. DeWied is able to provide detailed quality control reports and complete traceability of its product back to the source raw material.

The high quality sausage makers of the 21 Century don’t use only natural casings. Therefore, DeWied has formed strategic alliances with quality manufacturers of artificial casings from around the world, in order to bring the sausage makers of North America a full range of casing products: plastic, collagen, fibrous and cellulose. DeWied is the exclusive distributor of Hukki casing products in North America.

DeWied is not just a distributor of artificial casings. DeWied has its own converting facility, Advatech Conversions Ltd, where plastic, fibrous and some collagen casings are cut and tied, clip and looped, printed and shirred to the highest standards using the same modern equipment as the largest artificial casings companies worldwide.
